Private ziyarat tours in Makkah and Madinah, with Taif day trips

A ziyarat tour in Makkah and Madinah with Umrah Online Taxi is a private car and a driver who waits at every stop. The fare is for the whole vehicle, fixed before you travel, and paid to the driver at the end. In Makkah and Madinah each tour comes in two tiers, a two hour ziyarat and a four hour full ziyarat. We also book Madinah ziyarat with Wadi Jinn, and Taif day trips from Makkah and from Jeddah.

You choose the hotel pick-up time and set the pace. We do not run a coach schedule, and the driver is not a scholar or a guide, so the tour gives you transport and local knowledge, not religious lessons.

The tours, with the fare for a Camry or Sonata

Fares are for the whole vehicle in a Toyota Camry or Hyundai Sonata (4 seats, 2 large cases), return included, in Saudi Riyal. Larger vehicles have their own fares on each tour page.

Time beyond the included hours is charged at the hourly rate, from SAR 80 an hour, and the driver tells you before it starts. See every vehicle fare on Routes and prices.

Makkah ziyarat tour

The two hour tour runs from your hotel. It passes Jabal al-Nour and the Cave of Hira, Jabal Thawr, Mina, Muzdalifah, then Arafat and Jabal al-Rahmah and Masjid Namirah. Arafat is where most people spend the longest. The climbs of Jabal al-Nour and Jabal Thawr are not part of either tour.

The four hour full ziyarat adds the historic cemetery Jannat al-Mualla with Masjid al-Jinn, Masjid al-Khayf and the Jamarat in Mina, Masjid al-Mashar al-Haram, and a stop at the Hira Cultural District. Masjid Aisha at Tan’im is optional, for those who want to enter ihram for a second Umrah. The Kiswa factory needs a reservation and is not a standard stop.

Madinah ziyarat tour

The two hour tour visits Jannat al-Baqi, viewed from outside or visited on foot near the Prophet’s Mosque as the rules allow, then the mosques near the Haram, Masjid Quba, Masjid al-Qiblatain, Mount Uhud and the martyrs’ cemetery, and the seven mosques. Masjid Quba is the stop that most people allow the most time for, so an early start after Fajr works well.

The four hour full ziyarat adds Masjid al-Jumu’ah, Bir Uthman, time at Masjid al-Fath, a longer stop at Uhud, the date market or a date farm, and an exterior stop at the King Fahd Quran Printing Complex and the Dar al-Madinah Museum.

If you want one more stop, the Wadi Jinn version adds the valley and takes longer. The page for it explains what the valley is and what visitors report there.

Taif day trips

Taif lies in the mountains above Makkah, cooler than the coast. The Makkah to Taif tour takes about 1 hr 30 each way over the Al Hada road, and the driver waits through the day. The Jeddah to Taif tour is longer, with the return and the waiting in the fare. The usual stops in Taif are the mosques linked to the early days of Islam, the rose farms, Al Hada and its cable car, Shubra Palace and the souq. Read the Taif ziyarat guide for each place. You tell the driver what matters most, and he plans the day around that.

How booking works

  1. Send your hotel, the day and the number of people. WhatsApp us.
  2. We confirm the fare. It is fixed for the whole vehicle.
  3. Meet your driver. You get the name, number and vehicle details the day before.
  4. Pay at the end. Cash in SAR or bank transfer to the driver. There is no deposit, no card payment and no booking fee.

The vehicles are booked for you from independent drivers who hold their own permits. A free child seat can be requested in advance. Ladies-only groups can ask for a driver who waits with the vehicle at every stop.

For the full overview of ziyarat places in both cities, see the ziyarat hub. If you would rather make your own list, hourly hire starts at SAR 80 an hour, minimum three hours.
