Where the driver meets you
Pick-up is your Jeddah hotel or another point in the city you name, such as Al Balad or the Corniche. If you are landing at Jeddah Airport and going straight on to Taif rather than into the city first, tell us your flight number when you book so the driver watches the arrival board the same way we do for a Makkah or Madinah transfer. The driver stays with you for the whole day, so there is no handover to a different car or driver partway up the mountain.
How long is the drive from Jeddah to Taif?
That road climbs steeply through a long series of switchbacks, which is scenic but not a stretch to rush, and it is one reason the fare reflects a full day rather than a short hop.
What the fare includes
The return fare covers the vehicle for your party only, the driver, fuel, tolls and parking, and the waiting time while you spend the day in Taif. What is charged separately is a stop added after you have already booked, or extra time well beyond what a normal day trip takes, at the hourly rate. There is no Nusuk charge when the pick-up is in Jeddah city. If we collect you from Jeddah Airport, the Nusuk charge applies, as it does on every airport pick-up.

Two or three people making the trip together are comfortable in the Camry or Sonata, though a mountain road for several hours each way is worth doing in a vehicle you find genuinely comfortable rather than the cheapest one. Families often prefer the Staria for this route, since the extra room matters more over a full day than it does on a short transfer. Larger groups planning a Taif day trip together, for example a tour party wanting to see the rose farms and the Al Hada viewpoint as one outing, are better served by the Coaster so everyone travels and returns together.

If your day includes prayer times, the driver will build stops into the schedule the same way he does on any longer intercity route.
