Overview
A Jeddah city tour by car takes you from your Jeddah hotel to four well known sights and back, all within 5 hours. You see Al Balad, the old town, then Al Rahma Mosque, the Corniche and King Fahd’s Fountain. One driver takes you from stop to stop and waits at each one. This Jeddah sightseeing tour is in a private vehicle, and you choose the order.
A 5 hour Jeddah city tour by car costs from SAR 500 for the whole vehicle. The driver collects you at your Jeddah hotel and takes you to Al Balad, Al Rahma Mosque, the Corniche and King Fahd’s Fountain. He waits at each stop. You are back at your hotel within 5 hours of pick-up.
The four stops on the tour
The tour joins the old town of Jeddah to its sea front.

Al Balad, with Nasseef House
Al Balad is the old town of Jeddah. UNESCO lists it as a World Heritage Site, with the name Historic Jeddah, the Gate to Makkah. For centuries, people who came to Makkah by sea landed here first. Its tall old houses are built of coral stone, with carved wooden windows called rawashin. Nasseef House stands inside Al Balad and dates from the 1870s. King Abdulaziz, the founder of Saudi Arabia, lived in it for about ten years from 1925.

Al Rahma Mosque
It is also known as the Floating Mosque. It was built in 1985 on the surface of the sea, in the Al Shati district on the Red Sea shore. A walkway with low walls joins it to the land. Its white minaret has a turquoise dome on top.

The Corniche
This is the long road beside the Red Sea, with walks, parks and beaches. Its biggest seaside walk is the Jeddah Waterfront, now called the ROSHN Waterfront, about 4.5 km long. A Jeddah Corniche tour here is on foot, by the sea, while the driver waits.

King Fahd’s Fountain
It stands on the Red Sea coast, near the Jeddah Waterfront. King Fahd gave it to the city, and its water first ran in 1985. Guinness World Records lists it as the tallest fountain of its kind in the world, with water up to 312 m high.
Jeddah city tour fares by vehicle
